The Fines Unit will no longer be sending cheques

The use of cheques is being phased out by the Commonwealth Government, and the Fines Unit will cease issuing cheques from 31 October 2025. All payments will now be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT). If you have been awarded an amount by the court (or have received a previous payment from the Fines Unit) you should ensure your bank account details and email address are up to date with us. Get in touch to provide your details so that when payment is received it can be transferred to your bank account promptly.

Authorising an alternative contact

Another person is not permitted to enquire about your fine or debt unless you have authorised that person as an alternate contact with us, in writing or verbally via phone.

No information will be provided unless we have them on file as an authorised person. Contact us to authorise an alternative contact.
